Women’s March 1/31/2017

Women’s March

In January of 2017, the 45th President was sworn in. I like many others was devastated and completely shocked by the new administration and their heartbreaking agenda. But I could not let this devastation or anger fester. Like many of my fellow Americans, I took to the streets.

The day after the inauguration 500,000 people, including myself, marched on the White House in D.C. I was overwhelmed with joy from the massive amounts of humans that were out in solidarity, not only in D.C., but all over the world. It was a truly humbling experience. It was amazingly comforting to know that I am not alone. You are not alone. We are not alone. We are all in this together. We are all fighting everyday for our rights and the rights of our fellow humans.
